Marie Barnfield

Australian Swimming Council Level 2 Skills accreditation.
Total of 10 years coaching experience.
In 2002 Marie was appointed as Regional Swim Academy Coach for Goldfields.
Coach of the KASC Dolphins squad.
A long term serving member of the Club (11 years) and mother of three, Marie now works at John Paul College as the school’s Administration Officer.

Julie Kerr

Julie has Level 1 accreditation (6 years) plus many years of VacSwim experience behind her.
WASA qualified timekeeper, check starter and marshaller.
Represents the club in an official capacity from local time trials to major meets.
A 6 year Club member and former head coach.
Coach of Minnows/Yabbies.
Julie hails from Freo from where she proudly represented the State at a number of National titles.
A mother of four and full time child carer, Julie still amazes with her unbounded enthusiasm for swimming. She is a regular Barrack to Bank (20km) competitor and last year swam as a duo in the Perth to Rottnest swim.
Almost a Kalgoorlie local (14 years).

Began coaching with ACMA Broken Hill Swimming Club in 1987 under mentor coach “Tubby” Metcalf.
Attained Level 1 accreditation in 1989.
Highest achieving swimmers associated with
- Tanya Mew – former 14 year old national deaf record for 100m Fly & 200m I/M.
- Terry Plugh – former 50m Fly master 30-34 years.
Represented KASC at Country Championships & Country Pennants.
Coaching with Kalgoorlie Swimming Club since 1995.
